Chempaka Series

Soil developed on recent alluvial soil; brownish yellow (10YR 6/6,6/8); common yellowish red (5YR 4/6,5/6,5/8) to red (2.5YR 4/8) mottles within 75 cm; clay; moderate, medium subangular blocky; friable to slightly firm; deep; moderately well drained; occurs on flat to undulating terrain; cation exchange capacity < 5 cmol(+) per kg soil; low base saturation; argillic diagnostic horizon.

Occurrence

Common soils occur in Peninsular Malaysia.
