Awang Series

Soil developed on sub-recent riverine alluvium; light gray (10YR 7/1); few reddish yellow (7.5YR 6/6, 6/8) mottles; slightly gravelly clay loam; weak to moderate, fine to medium subangular blocky; loose; deep; imperfectly to somewhat imperfectly drained; occurs on flat to slightly undulating terrain; cation exchange capacity of 5-10 cmol(+) per kg soil; low base saturation; argilic diagnostic horizon.

Occurrence

Common soils occur in many part of Peninsular Malaysia.
