Merbok Series

Soil developed on potential acid sulfate marine clay soil; grayish brown (10YR 5/2) to gray (5Y 5/1); few reddish brown (7.5YR 6/6) mottles; clay; weak, coarse subangular blocky; sticky and plastic; shallow to moderately deep; poorly drained; occurs on flat terrain; cation exchange capacity 25-30 cmol(+) per kg soil; sulfidic diagnostic horizon.

Occurrence

Common soils occur on West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
