Bakri Series

Soil developed on organic material; dark reddish brown (2.5YR 2.5/2, 3/4, 5YR 2.5/2, 3/2, 3/3, 3/4) to pale dusky red (2.5YR 3/2); organic soil material, dominantly hemic with the thickness of 50-100 cm overlying sulfidic material; very poorly drained; occurs on flat terrain; cation exchange capacity >20 cmol(+) per kg soil; low base saturation; histic diagnostic horizon.

Occurrence

Common soils occur along the border of peat soil area toward the coastal area especially in the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
