Baging Series

Soil developed on young beach ridge; pale brown (10YR 6/3) to very pale brown (10YR 7/3, 7/4, 8/3, 8/4); medium to coarse sand; single grained; deep; somewhat excessively drained; occurs on flat to undulating terrain; cation exchange capacity of < 5cmol (+) per kg soil; low base saturation; no diagnostic horizon.

Occurrence

Common soils occur on young beach ridge along the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
