Soil developed on organic material; black (10YR 2/1) to dark reddish brown (5YR 3/3, 3/4); hemist; moderately deep; riverine clay below the organic layer; very poorly drained; occurs in swampy area; cation exchange capacity > 20cmol(+) per kg soil; diagnostic histic horizon.

Occurrence

Common soils occur along the border of peat soil area towards the interior part of Peninsular Malaysia.
